Poems in the Rain

January 29, 2021

Moving Box

Light Brown

Sturdy

Smooth but rough around edges

Comes in many sizes

Usually square or rectangle

Hard to tear

Deep

Smells clean

Has a triangular pattern on the inside

Melts away in the rain

Rough edges turn soft

Turns into a dark brown/grey color

Easy to tear

Soggy

Slowly loses its shape

Her hair turned from a vibrant dark brown into a mix with grey over the years

She gives off a tough confidence, but on the inside she’s softer than a marshmallow

Like me, her heart melts at the thought of a gloomy/rainy day

Her skin slowly loses its smooth feel and fills up with smile and worry marks

Once she lets you in, it’s easy to tear away pieces of her heart.
