Monday: Jersey Day
The first day of spirit week started off strong with jersey day. Students filled the halls showing off their favorite teams and players. From soccer to baseball and football, every sport was represented. Jersey day remains one of the more popular dress up days because all it takes is pulling out your favorite jersey to join in on the fun. The seniors (Class of ‘26) especially showed out, and Orit, their dean, took a picture of them in their jerseys.
Tuesday: Tropical Tuesday
Tropical Tuesday brought an eruption of bright colors and sunshine as students swapped out their typical attire for Hawaiian shirts, leis, and shorts. Between all the flowers, palm trees, and sunglasses, every vacation outfit was covered. The bright energy carried through the day and left everyone excited for another spirit day on Wednesday.
Wednesday: Twin Day
If you thought twin day was just about throwing on a matching hoodie, think again. The creativity levels hit new heights. We’re talking about everything from suspiciously realistic fake tattoos to equally skeptical pregnancies. One glorious day, the campus looked less like a school and more like the world’s quirkiest family reunion.
“I liked twin day, and I dressed up with all my old Heschel friends,” Lielle A. (‘28) said.

Thursday: Rhyme Without Reason
Barbie and safari, moose and juice, de Toledo and Cheeto. What do these pairings have in common?…Nothing! Students and teachers popped out with rhymes you could never think of. There were plenty of fun and creative pairings, and let’s just say it was not your typical Thursday.

Friday: Spirit Rally
Although Friday was the final day of Spirit Week, students showed up with more energy than any other day. Every grades’ colors filled the hallways. The freshman showed off their purple, sophomores were rocking green, juniors dressed in blue, and the class seniors were in their black and white.
When asked about his favorite dress up day, Justin F. (‘28) said, “When you’re wearing your grade colors, the spirit comes out, and it’s a beautiful experience to see your grade embracing their color.”
When students were asked what theme day they would add next time, Beckett F. (‘28) said, “Fortnite day” and continued to say that his favorite spirit game is “diet coke and pepsi, but [he wishes] they didn’t make the seniors win every time.”
The spirit rally was full of ruach and fun games like never before. From the energetic senior entrance to the mesmerizing varsity dance, the vibes couldn’t be higher. Lastly, de Toledo’ s fan favorite, musical chairs, made its return with a face-off between the seniors and sophomores. Seniors took a slim win over sophomores. Go black and white!
