Electric cars are very popular right now for many reasons, especially because gas prices have gone up by a lot, and filling a gas tank can be very pricey. It can range from $30 up to $100 for a full tank.

There are many different kinds of electric cars that are fully electric cars, or there are hybrids. Hybrids are in between a car that runs off gas and a car that runs off of electricity and needs to be charged. I don’t get hybrids–if you want a gas-run car, then buy a normal gas car, and if you’re looking for an electric car, that’s what you should be purchasing.

Some benefits of switching from a regular car to an electric car is that you no longer need oil changes and you have fewer car appointments. You’re saving a ton of money, and if you’re ever worried about the battery in your car running low, there are many places to charge it, whether it’s in a mall or a gas station or even the doctors office.

Driving an electric car has been proven to be better for your health and the environment. According to the California Air Resources Board, over 93% of the people in California live in communities that do not meet air quality standards because of the amount of gases and nitrogen oxide that gas-run cars produce.

Most electric cars cost the same or even less than a normal car, and, in the long run, not paying for gas once or twice a week saves  $6,000 to $10,000 per year.

The number one selling car brand in California currently is Honda and Toyota, and the best selling electric car is the Tesla by Elon Musk. His net worth is over $160 billion and he’s one of the richest people in America.

Teslas are great cars. The interior of the car is very minimalistic. There is a large iPad in the front console, and the exterior is crisp and clean looking. There are cameras all around the car to make it extra safe, and while you’re driving, on the screen it shows you every car in person passing by just in case you don’t see them or have a great view of them. Teslas are very easy and smooth to drive; the autopilot drive-assist can help you drive on the freeway without having to look on the street or hold on to the steering wheel. They come in so many sizes–whether it’s a five-seat car or a seven-seater; they even had a truck last year. If you were to purchase a Tesla model 3 instead of a BMW 330 you would be saving at least $17,600, which is amazing in the long run.

Overall, driving electric vehicles benefits not only you but also the planet. Driving electric cars keeps the earth clean and saves you money, so really, everyone is benefiting.
