After spending over two weeks in Central Europe, 16 seniors with the Budapest Exchange Program (BEP) have returned safely home.
Participants stayed with their Hungarian hosts in Budapest and explored Hungarian Jewish history and Jewish identity with Lauder Javne, de Toledo’s partner school in Budapest.
After Budapest, students traveled by train to Austria, and met with students at the Zwi Perez Chajes Schule, the premier Jewish school in Vienna.
BEP 2024’s final three nights were spent in Prague, Czechia, where they visited the Terezín Ghetto and Concentration Camp, guided by the author and historian Pavel Batel.
