Ode to My Mother

Madelyn Manenti, Student Life Editor

Crabs red and pinchy

Like my mom’s temper after work

It rains outside

The traffic is heavy

Pinch pinch pinch

The keyboard makes noises

The smell of fear

When will she be home?

Running a lot

To meeting after meeting

As tears fill my eyes

Where is my mom?

She’s working, they say

All hope is gone

But when she returns

All the rain goes away

For my mother is here

Everything will be

OK!
