We are in the month of October and it is finally the spooky season, personally my favorite time of the year. The weather is getting colder and for some, the moods may be dropping.

This month there was actually World Mental Health Day on Oct. 10. This year’s focus was to raise awareness about mental health conditions that are not often talked about or are misunderstood. A very important day this year, it meant a lot to many people.

We are also approaching Halloween, the first one since the COVID pandemic. How is it going to go? I do not know, but here are some ways to keep yourself safe this Halloween.

  1. Do not eat open candy, it can be very dangerous.
  2. Always be with someone like friends; stay away from the dark.
  3. If you drive, drive safely. There are going to be lots of kids and lots of crazy people.
  4. Have Fun!

Take time this year to nurture your inner child,  and dressing up in a fun costume of your choosing, trick-or-treating with whomever you want. Small moments like these are good for your mind. Everyone wants to grow up so fast but, these truly are the precious years to enjoy being young. Running around like a little kid again is surprisingly rejuvenating. So yes, have fun this Spooky Season. Stay safe, and take care of YOU.
