Create a Clean Campus

Madelyn Siegel

Trash lines the walkway by the art room after lunch.

Have you seen all of the trash around campus lately!? As students of de Toledo, it is our responsibility to pick up after ourselves and not leave waste behind. It is not acceptable to leave our belongings all over school, expecting others to clean up after us. We should take pride in having a clean school environment that is presentable for visiting students, parents, and other guests. Not only does it look bad to have waste left behind, but it is unsanitary.

When we are done with our lunch or snacks, let’s throw out our wrappers, trays, and bottles into trash cans which are placed all over campus. Instead of leaving books, backpacks, and other belongings on the floor (which can be a tripping hazard), we can utilize our lockers, shelves, or anywhere you can safely tuck your possessions away. As a community, we must do our part and keep our campus clean and safe for everyone.
