More stories from Jared Akka

Welcome Jags,  for a new semester of Jared’s Sports Beat. In J.V basketball, the team had a tough loss to Valley Torah Jan. 6, losing by one. They also lost to Pacifica Christian High School Jan. 11, by seven. They haven’t begun their season on a strong start, but they hope to win their next few games.

Also, Varsity basketball opened their season on an OK start, beating Valley Torah and losing to Pacifica High School by 10 points. Let’s hope that the teams can bring back some momentum to get some wins for de Toledo. I also got to speak to Athletic Trainer and Athletics Assistant Hubert Paz, and he said, “We need to tie our team together and finish off the season with a win.” Strong words.

Then, a big moment in NBA history: Klay Thompson has returned after 913 days following a major ankle injury. Warriors’ fans were ecstatic to see one of their star players finally back.
