This Monday, our robotics team participated in a tournament that YULA hosted at our school. All day long, we were ranked between 1st and 3rd place until the semifinals where we were in second place. At that time, the competition was down to just four teams. We were paired up against one of the other teams in a best-of-three game match. We won the first match easily. We lost the second match by just a few points and were prepared to compete in the third match when one of our motor controllers died. This caused us to completely lose control of the robot. For the remainder of that match we sat motionless. We ended up in fourth place which was an unfortunate end to an otherwise thrilling day. We had fun and picked up a few tricks to use in our next tournament, which will be on Sunday, January 31st.
