Recently there’s a new trend going around TikTok called Devious Licks. It’s basically where students steal things from school and put it in their backpack, then they take these things home and post about it saying that they stole the coolest thing, the biggest thing, the most expensive thing.

They post so many videos bragging but don’t think of the consequences: being suspended, expelled, and parents who have to pay immensely large fees for the things that were stolen and broken. Some trends can be good, but some can be bad and this is an example of a bad trend. Though it can be funny and entertaining to watch, nobody should be stealing their school’s property. The takeaway from this is that we all need to think about the consequences before we act.
