A Girl’s Guide to Fall

One+of+my+Fall+favorites%2C+a+warm+chai+latte.
Leah Berger
One of my Fall favorites, a warm chai latte.

As leaves turn from a summery green to a crisp orange, and shorts with tank tops turn into leggings with hoodies, we slowly enter the season of Fall, the most rejuvenating season if you have the right things on hand.

To ensure your season full of crisp air, rainy days, fireplaces, and hot cocoa is as fulfilling as it feels for me, here are a few essentials that will help complete your last few months of 2023.

Scented Candles

After a long day at school, even just a sweet pumpkin scent can make a gloomy day bright. My favorite candles are all from Bath and Body Works. Here are a few scents I adore: a year-round necessity, Champagne Toast; the holiday exclusive White Pumpkin; and a Christmas classic, Vanilla Bean Noel.

Tazo Tea’s Classic Chai Latte

If seasonal flavors tickle your tongue like mine, a nice mug filled with a creamy chai latte is just what you need in front of your fireplace. Tazo Tea’s boxed chai is my personal favorite because of its richness. Not to mention that Starbucks primarily uses Tazo for its world-famous drinks, proving its tastiness even more.

String lights

String lights are small yet adorable little details you can easily add to your room to add a calmer vibe for the cooler weather. Since natural light tends to fade around 5 p.m. nowadays, it’s nice to have just the little touches of light outlining your room as you binge Netflix or read a book.

Moisturizing lip balm

As amazing as the crisp air may feel, there is a big downside to it–dryness. It’s a good thing there are so many easy cures for any sort of body dryness that are super accessible anywhere you are. Personally, my lips are the driest at this time of year, and I’ve luckily found some amazing products that I most definitely can not live without. Here are just a few: Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm, Dior Addict Lip Glow, Refy Lip Buff Prep Scrub, and of course, a classic, Aquaphor.

The Comfy

For Hannukah of 2020, I got the best gift  I ever received, the infamous comfy. If you don’t have the luxury of knowing what a “comfy” is, first of all, I’m sorry and hope you can soon. Second of all, it is a huge wearable blanket. As someone who’s 5’2, the comfy almost reaches the floor and never fails to keep me warm and comfortable during the cold. This is an absolute NEED for this fall. Though it is $40, I can promise you will get your money’s use out of this incredible product.
