Maya, age 15, from Israel, near Gaza, talked with Prowler editor Max Bromberg during her time in Los Angeles Feb. 15, 2024: Maya is a fun and bubbly person, Max writes. We had a lot of fun making paper airplanes together. I did not know how, so she had to teach me. Hers was very good, while mine was not as good. Maya is funny, friendly, and talkative. There was never a silent moment when I was interviewing her; we were talking the whole time. I had a lot of fun talking with Maya, but we avoided the topic of war.

Hi! I’m Eliana Chasen. I’m a junior, and I’ll be writing for The Prowler this year. When busy procrastinating work for this class and others like it, catch me reading, talking to camp friends, stalking my friends' Spotifies, or watching the Phineas and Ferb movie. Good teen stuff. I’ll be working on opinion pieces, the JagRewind, and whatever article ideas Ms. Supanich approves. I'm super passionate about writing and want to make The Prowler a bigger part of dTHS culture. Excited for this year and please forgive my comma errors!

The empty hallway of dTHS on September 13, 2021, is filled with so many stories the eye cannot see. Each locker has its own story, with its own person attached to it, filled with books, binders, and perhaps a few snacks too. The “awe” of finally being back in school, and watching, hearing, and feeling the hallways settle into silence every time a new period begins, is one of the many little things quarantine made us realize we missed.
