"We had a lot of fun making paper airplanes together. I did not know how, so she had to teach me. Hers was very good, while mine was not as good. Maya is funny, friendly, and talkative. There was never a silent moment when I was interviewing her; we were talking the whole time. I had a lot of fun talking with Maya, but we avoided the topic of war."

Granville Island is a beautiful part of Vancouver. You take a sea ferry to get there and cross False Creek. At the island, there are a lot of boutiques and cute shops. Some shops sell jewelry, clothes, unique gifts and instruments. A public market has 50 vendors where you can buy authentic Vancouver food. There is live music outside so you can rock out when you're eating. Granville Island is so much fun and I would definitely recommend it if you go to Vancouver. (March 25, 2022)

One of the funniest things was watching seagulls eat starfish. It was kind of sad but also entertaining. I saw one seagull eat a starfish in one bite. There were so many starfish on rocks in the water which was cool to see.( Grandvile Island, March 24,2022)

One of my favorite things was watching airplanes take off from the ocean. There was a mini seaplane airport and every five minutes a sea plane would take off. It was fascinating watching them take off from the ocean and then be in the air. I had never seen something like that before and did not know that sea planes even existed. It was also watching them land back in the ocean so calmly. It was definitely a highlight of the trip.(March 26, 2022)
